27 Weeks and 1 Day Pregnant!

Apparently I can't write these things ON the day I turn over a new week anymore.

Welcome to the 3rd Trimester Baby B!!!

10 more weeks until the start of my maternity leave

13 more weeks (most likely less) until she makes her appearance.

What's going on with Baby B: She has been having lots of hiccup episodes. Most days I feel like she growing much faster than I am able to keep up with. I feel so stretched but I really don't think I am big as I was at this point with Breckin.

Symptoms: My legs hurt all the time. I am having these terrible stabbing shin pains if I am standing for too long. I didn't have these until much later in the pregnancy with Breckin. I am so worried what this means for the coming weeks. I have pretty much been having pain from my baby bump down. The pressure is intense at time... again if I am standing too long. I am tired of people telling me to take it easy. I am doing my best. I have to work and be there for my students, I have a two year old...

Cravings: CAN I PLEASE HAVE SOME SUSHI ALREADY!!!!

Birthday Prediction: April 23rd

26 Weeks and 1 day Pregnant

1 week until the third trimester!

11 weeks until the start of my maternity leave!

14 weeks (but most likely less) until Baby B makes her appearance!

What's going on with Baby B: Her ears are more sensitive now. Which means she can most likely hear other voices other than just mine. She is probably around 14 inches and weighs almost 2 pounds. My stomach jumps around with her movements and hiccups.

Symptoms: I am battling a headache right now but it's not a migraine, so I guess that's good. I've been waking up in cold sweats the past week. The next 13-14 weeks will be interesting I am sure.

Cravings: I want avocados. Craving them like crazy.

Birthday Prediction: It occurred to me this week that if they induce me at 39 weeks her birthday would be 4/20. There are SO many negative connotations with that day! I will just refuse. It needs to either be the 19th or 23rd. I'm still hoping she will make sure own appearance before the inductions between 38-39 weeks.

25 Weeks and 1 day Pregnant

Everything at work is organized! My projects (instructions written, and materials put together), tests, and rubrics for the rest of the year have been made and neatly organized. I just have to take care of the kids for the next 2.5 months before my maternity leave. I can't tell you what a relief it is. The list for stuff that needs to be done at home is still quite long though.

What's going on with Baby B: She likely weighs over a pound and a half at this point. She has days where she moves like crazy and others where she moves very little.

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks like crazy. I have multiple BH contractions a day. They are so tight and uncomfortable already. My hair and skin look horrible.

Cravings: Salty and sweet like always

24 Weeks and 1 Day Pregnant!

Today is Kevin's birthday! He turned 29 years old. Unfortunately, we spent most of the day running around doing errands. Babies R Us to get diapers for Breckin (although we are considering switching him to cloth), Once Upon a Child where we got Breckin bigger jeans, a bumboo ($15 woot!) and a brand new baby bouncy seat still in the box ($18 double woot!), and Kroger where we did our once a month grocery trip. We are back home now but not for long because we are turning right around and going to Comfort for dinner! We haven't been out to a nice dinner in a while. I'm excited!

I decided that my last day of work before my maternity leave will be April 6th. That's only 13 weeks away! Spring Break starts the week after that and I due two weeks after spring break. I am assuming that they wont let me go to 40 weeks. I will likely be induced at 39 weeks, like I was with Breckin. That would mean I was only returning to work for one week (a two day week for me) after Spring Break. I figure just letting the sub take over after the break would be the easiest transition on everyone.. me, the students, and the sub. I am hoping she shows up on her own before the induction though. Dr Hirata thinks, given that this is my second, that it's a good possibility.

What's going on with Baby B: Baby B is starting to build fat now. She is about the size of a papaya. I think she must have hit a growth spirt this week because her movements are getting much harder... in fact she has already gotten to the phase where she is hurting me when she moves sometimes. She may not be as big as Breckin but I have a feeling she is still going to be a big baby.

Symptoms: I've been having LOT of Braxton Hicks contractions. They show up if I am pushing too hard or if she is moving a lot. It's interesting, with Breckin my stomach would just get tight and I would be comfortable. With Baby B I get tight, then it moves up my chest which gets tight, then it finally moves up to my head and I get a surge of pain across my forehead. It will be interesting to see how my contractions go at labor. I hope I don't have to go through labor with a migraine.
